花生新品种——泰花8号，系泰州市旱地作物研究所采用泰花1号作母本、中87-77作父本进行杂交选育而成。2009－2010年参加并通过全国长江流域片区域试验，2011年参加并通过全国长江流域片生产试验，表现优异。2012年申报并通过国家品种鉴定，具有早熟、高产、优质等特性，适宜长江流域的四川、湖北、湖南、江西、河南南部及江苏等省市作为高产、鲜食或油用型花生品种种植利用。
Taihua8, bred by Taixing Agricultural Sciences Research Institute, was derived from hybridization of Taihual and Zhong 87-77. Taihua8 attended and passed the national Yangzte River basin regional trial in 2009－2010, and it attended and passed the national Yangzte River basin producing trial in 2011. Taihua8 showed high yield potential, super quality and precocity, and was certificated by National Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2012. It adapted to plant in sandy soil region in Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan, southern Henan and Jiangsu as fresh and oil purpose variety.
